One of the most talked about Sharp production brought out in the market is its newest innovation on LCD high definition TVs- under the name of Aquos.

04JulBY STYLE, Front-Projection TVs Comments Off
If you want the real theater thing bring to your place, then buying a front-projection TV, or more commonly known as home theater projectors is the best thing to do. Although this is generally not for everybody- since you have to allocate a special room with an excellent light-control around, for the projector to work perfectly as desired. Also, you will need a special screen, which can be as wide as 100 inches or more, for your best watching experience; though a wide whiteboard or just a flat white wall can also serve a similar purpose for that. This one cannot be really considered as a TV. But when you’re talking about high definition, then definitely home theater projector is the best choice, especially if you’ve got the right room for it. Just think of having a mini home theater on your own house couldn’t make you feel more excited! Although, just like what was earlier mentioned and just like any other theaters, a room should be specifically designed for its optimal performance. It should be dark enough for best quality viewing; plus additional accessories such as screen, receiver, sound system, etc. should be purchased separately in order to achieve your desired mini home theater.
In front screen projection, the cathode ray tubes is present in a separate unit, in which this is the one that projects the image to the front of the screen. The screen and the projector are 2 separate units and are purchased separately. Although buying a home theater projector is quite a high ambition, this will all be worth it once it is completely and properly set up in your place.

04JulBY STYLE, Rear-Projection TVs Comments Off
Rear projection televisions, or RPTVs, were first produced during the 1970s. It has mainly three types: the CRT RPTVs, the DLP, and the LCD projectors.CRT rear projection TVs are the first kind to be introduced in the market. CRT or cathode ray tubes of CRT RPTVs show images as the same way that a traditional CRT TV does. CRTs fires a beam of electrons to a phosphor coated screen, in which the image is then projected to a large screen. CRTs have the ability to display changeable resolutions without suffering image quality, but since it is phosphor-based, it is prone to burning in. Burn-in takes place if an image has the effect of being etched in the screen if it is shown for a long time. This is also one drawback with plasma TVs (again, because of the presence of phosphor). Although many TV viewers don’t mind it at all.
LCD rear projection TVs is a better invention of RPTVs. First it is much smaller and lighter compared to CRT projectors; it uses a different material on its screen which is not subjected to burn-in; and lastly, it is easier and much cheaper to repair compared to CRTs and other kinds of HDTVs. But then again, still one of its drawbacks is poor angle views- if you’re not viewing from the sweet spot. Also LCD RPTVs are still bulkier compared to DLP projection televisions.
Lastly, the DLPs or the Digital Light Processing projectors is the most popular kind of rear projection televisions nowadays, and in fact, the most dominating kind, while its other siblings LCD and CRT RPTVs are continuously diminishing and already not widely available in the market.
Texas Instruments is the semi conductor manufacturer that is producing DMD (Digital Micromirror Devices) Chips that is used in DLP technology. TI sells these chips to the main DLP rear projection TV producers such as Mitsubishi and Samsung.
Aside from the fact that DLPs are the slimmest kind of all projection televisions, it also has an excellent black level feature for exceptional image quality viewing.

Plasma TVs usually also has a better image quality, compared to other types of HDTVs. One proof to that it has wider viewing angles and images are still viewed in good quality even at far different angles. Although also one disadvantage of plasma TVs, which is negligible as well, is that although they are lighter and in slim profile compared to other types of televisions, however, they are still heavier than the LCDs of the same size, generally because of plasma’s glass screen.
Plasma TVs are created, invented and projected to last for at most 20 years with its best performance, with an approximately 8 hours of continuous usage per day.

Flat panel HD LCD television still holds its spot at the top most popular kind of HDTVs. Although it is quite a little expensive compared to other kinds, such as the plasma TVs, still LCD TVs are the favorite HDTVs to buy by most of our TV shoppers. Most probably because this kind has noticeably more variations, which gives us lots of choices, plus as LCD TVs of different brands were continuously enhanced and produced, and they prices in fact, falls, compared to LCDs costs before.Generally, one of the LCDs greatest feature is that its ability to reflect less ambient light, which is however, one downside of plasmas. LCDs can function very well even in very bright rooms, with very little light control. This is primarily because of its glossy / matte screen, which is the one that do the trick, as compared to the glass screen of plasmas. This also serves are one major advantage for LCDs - since its screen is much easier to repair (and is cheaper indeed) compared to plasmas’ glass screens.
High definition LCD TVs also has adequate response time, especially with the newer LCDs released in the market. Just like the plasmas, this feature allows you to watch fast moving objects at its best quality, although many studies and reviews have made that plasma’s similar feature is still much better that with the LCD’s. However, based from most customers’ own experiences, the difference between the two is very unnoticeable, and both don’t show any blurring of images at all.
The demand for LCD TVs remains consistent and even more rises, mainly because of its continuous enhancements, as well as its competitive selling price that continuously goes down. Even though one of the most obvious drawback of an LCD is its viewing angles, which is also very much observed with other products having LCD monitors like notebooks, hi-tech cell phones and PDAs, still LCDs remains on its seat, being the best selling kind of HDTVs.
